Back in the day, we used to watch TV (Jerry Springer, Maury, etc) and the news (generally bad) and be able to say “at least my life isn’t that bad!“.  Today, people open their social media and everyone apparently is have more fun, with more things and more friends, and its amplifying loneliness and desperation.  These outcasts then head to platforms like 8chan where the angriest voices are heard and they become radicalized

short video worth watching that suggests that loneliness (21% of millennials say they have no friends, 25% say they have no acquaintances) and social media are causing mass shootings in America.
