Should help mitigate competition on that vanity metric but it’ll still be a popularity contest (likes will still inform the feed algorithm).  Young ppl will still see everyone having a (fake) better life. WeChat group chats have no likes but engagement still plummets as self-censorship and noise skyrocket when grows. Can we truly be genuine on a public stage?

Will that address the root of the problem 😅
